What is cake rhinestone banding ?
It is a stunning ribbon made of dazzling rhinestone crystals that shimmer around the edges of a wedding cake like diamonds. They can be wrapped around the base of each tier in a uniform fashion or wrapped in creative patterns - whatever fits your design.

The great thing about banding is the ribbon can easily be cut to the desired length with a pair of small scissors. You just have to give it to your wedding cake caterer. It is very easy to set up.

It is offered by the yard, so you'll need to know the size of each tier and the shape of your cake to get accurate measurements. Again, you can ask your caterer to get all the details.

Having a welcome bag/box for your wedding guests is certainly not mandatory, but it is definitely a thoughtful gesture to consider for the travelling guests coming from abroad.
Who wouldn't love to feel cherished as a guest of honor?


So, For Your Special Day, Here are a few suggestions that you can use to make your welcome a little more welcoming! Every element is not required, so you may find 1 thing that's perfect for you, or all!

1 - A Thank You note, card or letter from you & your fiance. Keep in mind that each and every guest who commits to attending your special weekend is a special gift. They do not have to come, so show them that you appreciate their efforts in travelling to celebrate with you.
In most cases, they're bringing you a gift, taking time off from work & spending additional money for food or shopping while in town. A small note of thanks is a heartfelt gesture of appreciation. If you don't do anything else, at least have a Thank You!


2- A detailed wedding weekend itenerary: You want to make sure that your guests are aware of any special events that you may be welcoming them to attend, such as a Bachelor/Bachelorette Party, Rehearsal Dinner, BBQ, etc... Include times for the Ceremony & Reception. Yes, they should know this, but you never know who may have left their invitation behind & may be off 30 minutes!


3- Emergency Phone Numbers: There's nothing like coming into a new city & then ending up lost. Include a phone number for a go-to person or designated contact in case your guest(s) turns up turned around in your city. It's also nice to have an emergency phone number in the event that someone is ill, or has a setback.

4- More Information in a Fun Way: Something else to consider is doing a cute newsletter for your guests. This can be done in WORD or Publisher at home.
The newsletter can serve as an itinerary, a thank you, & a special place for how you & your fiance met, other fun facts about the two of you, local tourist spots, favorite restaurants & even list the wedding party info and how they are affiliated (example- Matron of Honor: Lisa Johnson, Brides Best Friend).

5- Fillers: Who doesn't get hungry?? Just a few simple snacks go a long way. You don't have to break your own bank in trying to be considerate.
Some snack ideas to include are: Water Bottles, Bags of Candy, Chips, Pretzels, Chocolates, Mints, Crackers & Cans or bottles of Soda. This is a great opportunity to personalize.

6- Delivery: Don't forget to assign someone to deliver these goodies to the hotel or place where your guests are staying (it very well may be you). Check out the hotel's policy in advance. They may charge a fee to hand out the baskets at the front desk or to the room.
